Grow a Human
My life was given many years ago. Not more than yours. I don't have parents, but I do have a large family. Not bigger than yours. I may not have eyes, but I admire my image. I may not have a nose, but my scent intoxicates me.
We resemble each other. The two of us resemble each other. You may not know it. You may not have even imagined it. I'm here to remind you. I'm here to remind you that you are human.
I didn't choose where to be born. It wasn't my choice whether I wanted to live. And I bet it wasn't yours either. But I'm blessed to live, to breathe, and to exist. Privileges like reason weren't given to me, but I know how to appreciate what I have. I don't take anything for granted. Especially life. My enemy's hand, bigger than me, stronger, wanting to conquer me. I surrender. My efforts don't pay off. Yet... I tried.
My outer shell is my protection. I may seem tough, but I'm not. It may take me a long time to open up to people, but eventually, I do. Equip yourself with patience, persistence, and love. Make me trust you, and I will reward you. My inner world is now yours. Please, don't hurt it. I have many siblings. We may look alike, but... I have something that makes me stand out. I am unique. There is nothing else in the world that is an exact copy of me. And I feel proud.
I come from the earth. I dwell on the earth. The earth raised me, and the earth will continue to nurture me. I respect Mother Nature. I am part of a chain, and I never forget that. I know my limits, and I know when to stop. I never forget that one day I will return to zero. Where everything began. In death... Am I afraid? No. I know that someday a seed will sprout again. That hope will be reborn someday. That I will shine again despite the obstacles, the difficulties.

even if we completed this anthropocentric project faster than ever, the process was quite enjoyable. i owe a heartfelt thank you to everyone who supported us through its making: my mother, the radio station that helped us on recording the narration, my dear savvas for the internet promo, alex and tassos for supporting the film immediately after we dropped it.
